I have two pairs of 31" inseam length Melodias (I'm 5'4"). She also makes them as short as 29" as listed on her site. Maybe those lengths get snapped up so quickly they don't end up on ebay!

I put mine in the washer/dryer at regular cycle with everything else and they shrink about an inch.

I've never had any problem exchanging stuff. They are most accommodating!

A suggestion if you are just worried about tripping at practice is to tie them at the bottom a la harem pants, or take the tail and tuck into waist band. Looks quite cute IMO. But really, for best information and tips go on tribe

sigh.....
I wonder if I can exchange them? The black ones are way longer than the red ones but both are to long

However I also have a pair of katrinamariedesigns "copy" pants from ebay and I have to say the quality is just as good. In fact you don't get the orange stitching on all kinds of colours you do with melodias. I got them because she does a fold over top and they are bright pink tie dye.!!! They are no cheaper and she states very clearly she is NOT melodia. She was very good to deal with and they came quickly.

Do you have a link - I'd love to check them out but cannot find her through e-bay search, thanks

I don't think 3wks is anywhere near worry time... Give it 6 wks before you start to panic. In my experience, parcels usually take about 10 days to reach me in Canada from the US, irregardless of the USPS shipping method (FedEx and UPS will get here much quicker). However, sometimes it takes longer and there's not much the seller can do to speed delivery once its in the hands of the postal system.

Try not to worry just yet...

I'm 5 feet 9 1/2 inches. I'd probably be about 6 feet or 6' 1" if I didn't have scoliosis. (I have quite a curve!) I wear a 34-inch inseam in blue jeans, which comes down to the top of my instep on the front of the foot, and about an inch off the floor in the back of the foot, covering about half the shoe.

With Melodias, I wear 35-inch inseam because I like to have them lightly brush the floor.

They should be back from their vacation on Tuesday. You might want to send Bonnie a private message through her tribe id then to ask about it.

I'll mark it down on my calendar. It would've been nice to have had them during an audition with Arabian Silk a few weeks ago!

katrina-marie-designs is the name of her shop. I cannot get a direct link but if you type in tribal belly dance/yoga pants and go to buy it now...you get there.
Sorry I had missed reading this thread for a while.

No Problem. I found them and they are indeed very nice pants and I don't think they look at all like Melodias. I have a weakness for foldover soft waist bands like that. Thanks

Okay...

I'm a very patient person but it's going on the fifth week. I've sent four messages and I've posted on her Tribe website to get an ETA on the pants. Now, I realize that she's highly considered in the BD community but, SHEESH, was hoping to have them by now! If I don't hear anything by Saturday, forget it, I'll just seek a refund and buy pants from somewhere else.

I think they're pretty pooped after the festivals and what nots. Here is a reply from Bonnie's girlfriend regarding the ebay store taken from tribe (which is a great place to get answers if you want to try messaging them there). I assume once the ebay store is back up, the business will be running again and they'll ship your pants for you (but in the meantime, I wouldn't worry at all about not receiving any pants. They're good people over there):

The workshop looks like a tornado hit. Everything from Tribal Fest was brought back and piled everywhere.

I managed to make a dent in restocking and creating some workspace but there's still a ways to go. Then we need to do an inventory so the numbers posted on the eBay store are acurate. Then we need to rebuild the eBay store with all the old and new merch, the new shipping prices, and the global changes - thanx to the Customs Dept. foul ups.

We have lots to do but we are working non-stop to get everything back up and running. We want your experience to be wonderful. We are trying to be quick yet acurate.

I am sorry I do not have a date when the store will be re-opened. I apologize for any trouble this creates for you.

Well, one of the two events that I wanted these for has come and gone and the other one will be next week.

I'll see what happens...

Camille, I can certainly understand why you're feeling frustrated. Check your bhuz "private messages" area for a private message from me...

Stupid question: how does one determine an inseam measurement for pants such as these? I have some fauxlodias which I believe are either 32 or 34, and they trail nicely. They hit the top of my foot but the long danglies make them seem longer.

I have very long legs, proportionately. I'm 5ft 8 and I think my inside leg, crotch to floor, is 33 inches - at least, it was when I was a teenager (I may have grown some since). But there are all these people shorter than me supposedly wearing this pants length, and I seriously doubt their legs are longer than mine are. Help?

From the top inside of your leg straight down to floor then you add two inches according to Melo's instructions.

My legs length measures 31", I'm 5'5, I added two inches for my pants and every one of them has fit me just right for dancing.
