ebay costume seller farres99 Experience????

I purchased two costumes from farres99 on ebay March 23rd and paid for both that day. One arrived about 3 weeks later and was a very nice costume for the money. (They say 7 to 14 days delivery). So I contacted them a bit after that to make something to my measurements and sent paypal for that also.

It has been around 50 days now and the costume I paid for March 23rd still isn't here. I have emailed them numerous times and always get a prompt courteous response stating it should arrive in 2 to 4 days. Finally after getting that a few times I said to Please check the tracking numbers. They said it should arrive in 7 days. Well it didn't.

Not sure what I should do and how soon I need to do it. Both about the March 23rd costume and then the special ordered one. For two costumes that is a bit of money hanging out there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Anyone have a personal experience with this seller? I understand shipping problems happen - just wondering what to do and if anyone has had problems with this seller.

I've never had any experience with this user. But if you paid through paypal, you can initiate a dispute that way. It's pretty easy. You just enter that you never received the goods. Paypal takes care of the rest. You'll probably either get a refund or maybe see the product. I had to do this once and it was actually pretty painless. But I would do it sooner rather than later since there may be a time limit on how long after the transaction you can file a claim.

If you didn't do paypal, I would initiate the dispute on ebay. Since they're owned by the same company, I imagine it would be a similar process.

It looks like there is someone that left them neutral feedback with the same problem. They did not get their costume till 8 weeks. What I would do, I'd email them and be very stern. You have been very patient up till now. If they do not have a definitive answer for you of when it will arrive (ask for the tracking number so you can check it) then you will be forced to start legal action. You can report them to ebay and paypal (if you paid with paypal) Hopefully they will get you a real answer. When and if I received the costume, I would leave negative feedback because in my eyes that is unacceptable. They say 7 - 14 days not 7 - 14 weeks.

Hi Surida, haven't used this seller, but the problem seems very common. I ordered a simple in-stock skirt from We3 last November, and I barely got it in time for a performance March! That was the first time I EVER left negative feedback on ebay, but in this case it was warranted. Just threaten neg feedback, and you will probably get some action. Good luck. Rainey

I bought a costume from them- I don't recall now exactly how long it took to get here but it was definitely a few weeks- maybe 5. Seems like when I did contact them they had said to wait a little longer and if it didn't come they would issue a refund-- at least I think that was the case-- anyway, hopefully it will show up.

For one costume it is just over 8 weeks now, the other 4 weeks. (their ebay ad says 5 to 14 days). On Friday I emailed them mentioning a refund but haven't heard anything back yet. They just keep telling me to wait - they haven't mentioned a refund yet. What made me start feeling really worried was one reply that said there was a delay in shipping as their costumes are shipped from Egypt. Well the one costume that I did get was definately shipped from Germany. Not sure what to think - I'll see what their response is to my last email. I'm hopeful that I will get a nice surprise in the mail today! Ever hopeful!
