nails

i had my nails done for the first time ever saterday, no, not just manicure but the full deal acrylic, pulvering, UV gel deal. well, that's what the flyer said, i just pointed "those" on the display bord.. i went for a bordeaux-ish red; not the white borders and not the ones you still have to paint yourself. i want them permanently perfectly painted. i have had them really short (as i'm behind a keyboard all the time), and apparently they dont look to fake.

even tempted to post a pic, soooo happy with them. i wonder how long these will last, how it will look when they start to grow out, how long they are nice, and if i'm going to find a salon that does it here (i had them done in an american style nail parlour in germany, with a bunch of professional asian nail stylists) i hope i find something similar in brussels

I love them. I go through periods when I can't be bothered. It's a committment, your real nails continue to grow and you have to keep going back for refills, plus the polish wears off the edges, usually 2 weeks in between. But when they are done, sigh, your hands look so lovely!

I get my nails done with a "french" manicure (white tips) and usually have some sort of design on the nail of the ring finger. I get a pedicure at least monthly as well (if it's been a tough month, will get the pedicure every other week) and mimic the design of the ring finger nail on the big toe, although I get color -v- white tips on the toes.

I currently have swirls on the ring finger and toes of gold and silver, so I'm not limited in my costume choices :-)

oh, i go for pedicure regularly too, but usually just "taking care of feet and nail', not having them painted. if i dont have a regular pedicura my toe nails start fighting with my toes and each other

wait a minute, I'm confused, your nails are permantly colored? what do you do when they start growing out?

not sure yet, it's what a few other people/friends had done and it looked great, i'll see where it leads to the next weeks. the girl said it depended on how fast my own nails grow what would work/not. i dont mine if it grows out a little, when you have henna done that's what it looks like too, and it still beats my normal look... (as in bladdered of paint and all nails in a different size, and a lot of fracuteded ones)
