Is this a Bella? PART II
I bought this a while ago from a vendor in LA who said it was a Bella. I knew nothing about ME costume designers back then, I just thought it was cute! Now I am wondering if this really is a Bella, since it does not have the tag everyone says we should be looking for. I love it anyway, am just curious what ya'll think...

No tag = probably not a Bella :-(
It's pretty, but I don't think it's a Bella, unless it's reeeeally old, but Bella's been using her tags for a LONG time, hasn't she? So unless it's one of her very first designs, it's probably a copy.

Hi! I had a very similiar Bella like that...same fabric. Sometimes, I find that vendors remove the tags , because of the info there...so you won't order your own! Just a thought....I am almost positive of it being an original.

I'm quite positive it's a Bella as well, looking at the design and beadwork. Like TanyaLV says some vendors take the labels out, but sometimes owners do too because the label irritates on the skin.
Whatever the brand is: it sure is a beautiful costume!

I never thought of this! Yes, that makes sense, but I'd be sure and keep the tag if I removed it, just in case I was ever questioned about its authenticity. Hopefully, the seller of this costume did this.
Sure is a purty one.....

Thanks guys...I might have to sell it, cause as you can see I don't exactly fill it up on top...I tried to pad it, but the hooks need to be moved and I have no sewing experience. I'm gonna work with it though because I just *love* this costume and my jaw dropped when I first saw it!!!

I have a Bella from a few years ago -- is that kind of a blue/black leopard print on chiffon? It looks like the fabric on mine from back then, but my belt is separate. Beads look similar. I see enough similarities. It doesn't look like the newer Bella to me, but to me it looks real from a whle back. TanyaLV, that's the one I was telling you about with the D cups that were too big for me -- it was from the Bella "goddess" line -- just can't part with it ...yet...there mustbe a way to make the cups smaller, maybe I should post some pix..l..Tanya SF

If you'd like some help withit, let me know, I'm pretty good at re-constructing bras, although usually I need to make them bigger :-)

i think maybe you need to sew the cups closer together and pad the cups. The cups are too far apart for your body frame.
im with kina, i usually have to make them larger so down sizing a bra...huummm.... not quite good for resell value if you plan to resell it.

There are ways to downsize it that won't impact the resale value, as long as you don't cut anything. It takes a little longer, but worth it, moving the cups in, re-angling the straps for a better configurations, strategically adding padding, that kind of thing.
Although if way too big, nothing will make it look right, you're right, Shaynaz.

dumb question
Can I ask a dumb question?
What's the big to-do about Bellas? this one on this thread is gorgeous but why are people so interested in them? I don't find them particularly more visually appealing than a number of other costumes and actually I don't like the bella skirts on average - but there must be something I'm missing here....
enlighten oh bella fanatics....
