Boots cosmetics and skin care
Just bought Boots No 7 Refine and Rewind intensive serum at Target this weekend. And the stuff works fast! At first I thought it was my imagination that my skin looked a lot better after the first application. But now in the 3rd day of use I know it wasn't imagination.
Has anyone else used this stuff?

We had a thread about this earlier but yes I have got the product and do think my skin is softer and some lines a little less so but a friend reckons she has seen no effect with the P&P serum but there is another called Age Rewind which is for the more mature skin of the over 50s. But where's the one for the 60+..do they give up on us? <SMILE...through gritted teeth>

Also bought the Age Rewind moisturizer day cream and like it so far. But yeah...what about over 60? Oh, I forgot, 60 is the new 40!

I'm currently using it, for about 3 weeks now. My skin feels softer, but I can't say it changed the way it looks.
I think I need a miracle more than a product.

Yeah, I've seen no change - but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop using it !!! I do like the moisturiser that goes with it too. Again it's not gotten rid of any 'fine lines' but I like it anyway.

I've seen incremental change. I'm not sure about the fine lines, really it's more of a tautness of the skin that's happened. I dunno. I like it - my skin looks better except for the little dieting breakout issues at the moment. I'm pretty much sold on the stuff.

My skin definitely feels softer after only a few days using it. I don't have crowsfeet but do have puffiness around my eyes and the good old frown lines and some sag around the jawline. What I am after is keeping future wrinkles at bay and some tightening and refining of texture. So we'll see. I've been using Olay Regenerist, but Boots is less expensive and uses less product to get the same coverage. So far I am sold on it too.

I started using the Boots after reading about it here, probably 3-4 weeks ago. Last weekend, I was talking to a new acquaintance at a party who is a Clinique counter manager, and her jaw dropped when I told her how old I am--she had me pegged a good 10 years younger!
Hooray for Boots!

Restore & Renew is back at Target!

What's the verdict now that you've been using the products for a couple of months?

I'm sold on the stuff. My complexion looks better than it has in years and years. In fact longer than that!

Cool, I may have to check it out!
Can I ask for detail? Better how? Firmness/smoothness/evenness/pores/fine lines etc?

I'm sold on Boots. I have tauter skin overall and the lines around my eyes are definitely less noticeable. I love the make-up - very light as I don't like wearing much during the day (or anytime). nice colors too.
I'm glad to here refine & rewind is back in stock because I'm at the point of scraping the little bottle for the last remnants.

Hi Lauren,
I've almost used my whole bottle of Refresh and Renew by now, and I'd say the biggest change for me is that my pores are tighter, the surface seems a bit smoother overall, and when I first apply it, the little lines under my eyes smooth out (I'm sad to say that seems to be just a temporary effect. Sigh.)
I really like the products. I use the day/night eye cream duo and one of the yummy smelling body scrubs, too. I love that you can pick 'em up at Target--a nice treat amongst the paper towels and toothpast!

Lauren,
I have noticed improvement in all areas. I really don't have much problem with wrinkles other than the proverbial frown lines between the eyes. The big problem I have had with aging has been some loss of skin tone and uneven texture and color, puffiness and circles arouind the eyes. I used to have really oily skin which is unusual for someone with skin as fair as mine. But my mother always told me that people with oily skin look younger when they are older!!! I started using "pharmaceutical" facial products about 5 years ago when my skin started getting more dry and dull feeling and saw a difference within a short period of time. About two years ago I switched from a vitamin C-alpha lipoic acid cream to Olay's Regenerist products and also tried Olay's Definity products. Definity really helped even out color and tone down my rosecea but didn't help the dryness as much. So I tried Boots about two months ago and love it. Doesn't take much product. I still have half a bottle of R & R left and about one third of the original jar of moisurizer.
The price at Target is very reasonable and the stuff works!!

I have been using Boots refine and rewind, time resisting day cream with sunscreen, and lifting and firming night cream for about 3 months. Also the makeup removal sheets.
I can't say its lifted or firmed anything, but the texture and glow of my skin is better. I used to have dead skin build up and flake off in my t-zone. I had to do various exfoliation or home microdermabrasion treatments regularly. Since starting the boots stuff, I have not done any kind of exfoliation and my skin looks great. Granted I've only been using it since may and its humid in southern IL, so we'll have to see how it gets me through winter.
I wish Boots put out more suggestions on how to use their products. For example, is the refine and rewind supposed to be used insead of the day or night creams, or should it be used with them?

I was wandering down the makeup aisle at my local Target when what to my wondering eyes should appear but a Boots No. 7 consultant. Here's what she told me:
She recommended that everyone with any wrinkle concerrns use one of the two R&R anti-aging serums, a day cream/night cream combo, and an eye cream.
Restore & Renew is for skin with some lines but few other textural problems. I was about to pick up Refine and Rewind, but she talked me out of it, saying there'd be plenty of time for that later -- I didn't need the "firming action", whatever that is.
She also talked me out of the more aggressively anti-aging day/night cream combinations, in favor of a cheaper one in which the day cream has a higher SPF.
She said not to put anything at all near the eyes except the eye cream.
There's an antiaging day/night eye cream combo, but once again she said to wait a few years for that one, and stick with the regular eye cream in a single tube.
(Incidentally, they're packaging the R&R antiaging serums in regular squeeze tubes now; apparently people were complaining about not being able to get the products out of the bottom of the glass squirt bottles.)
She keeps regular posted hours at two local Target stores. You might call your local one and see if they have anyone like her available.

P&P is , according to the blurb, for 30+, R&R for 40+ and Age Rewind for 50+. They are serums (serii???.. ) and you combine their usage with Day and Night Creams. They do not replace moisturisers

As if there is a danger of accidentally getting forced back into adolescence or something if you use their potent age-defying stuff too soon!
Seriously, thanks for posting this. I'll remember next time I pick up more.

Annie, thanks for that info! I use the Refine and Rewind intense serum and the Time Dimensions rewind day and night creams. Need to start on the eye stuff too since I have run out of my Olay eye cream. I also use the Time Dimensions Toning Water before the serum and moisturizer. When I use all three in that order I can feel my face doing something. I've been getting a lot of compliments on my skin and hair lately. So I know it is working. Someone asked me how I keep getting younger instead of older.
