Obsessed with Amy Winehouse's makeup
No, I mean really, I am totally obsessed with how Amy Winehouse does her eyes. Look here.
She's got that swoopy black eyeshadow thing going on. Is this something we can successfully steal? What do you think?

Looks like she's using liquid liner. I think a little swoop is fine but that's a bit much for my taste. Looks too Halloween-ish to be taken seriously.

Personally I'm more obsessed with her voice
Her makeup is great but it's so utterly retro that I think you'd need a totally retro 60s costume to pull it off. That would be pretty cool though...

Her music isn't my taste, but I think she is one of the coolest looking chicks around!

Me too! Just recently like this weekend. And she has the beehive hairdo to go with the makeup.

Needs more on the bottom lash line. Plus light-colored space at outer corner between top and bottom eye liner. Plus more lashes. Plus more glitter. Maybe a bit more color.
You know you've crossed over into total drag-queen-dom when you think Amy Winehouse's eye make-up is too restrained.

I'm not so glam in my daily life, but I see nothing wrong with that look for every day if it suits you. I see women who are a little more alternative working at coffee houses, record stores, hair salons, etc. and they seem cool with it for regular wear.
I'm so jealous of those women! I want to be cool too!

The lack of all the other stuff is what makes it modern.
I agree, it would look fantastic with a retro costume. And it's not so extreme, really, not when you look at Jamila Salimpour's old pix, for example.

I think if you're a tattoo girl with rockabilly looking clothes, then that make up works--no special costume needed.
Oh, to be 22 again!
