The doctor doing the operation must be asleep or something. This was hot new a few weeks ago and some of my clients were fooling me around, telling me that they were glad that I have two cheeks!

i got three calls about that from the newspaper and tv when that story first came out. really stupid calls too. it was on belgian tv and they did a whole thing about it interviewing bellydancers. it was all about how you needed your butt to dance sexy. or that's the impression i got that that's what they wanted me to say. i think my answers where to down to earth so they didnt use my interview

Wow. I don't care if you're a bellydancer or not, that's a bizarre case of medical malpractice. In the US, of course, she would've gotten WAY more than 12,000 pounds... I wonder if any kind of a procedure is available to correct? *shudders*

That's what I was thinking, Lauren. I don't know what the conversion rate is for pounds, but in the US she would have gotten MILLIONS of dollars.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing, too. I think her compensation isn't enough. She should have gotten a financial compensation, plus the hospital that performed the extreme liposuction should inject some fat back into her bum as a second medical proceedure for free.

I am very sympathetic to the dancer. I hope she recovers.
That being said, the article title screams to be made into a bumper-sticker.
