Turquoise Scarab Beads?

Does anyone know where I might be able to find large -- say ~2" long -- turquoise scarab beads, like the kind that Eman uses?

The ones I've managed to find online so far have been either too small or not very pretty. Help appreciated!

I have been looking for those myself. The only place I have seen them is on horusandisis.com and houseofegypt.com.

The ones on houseofegypt look exactly like what Eman uses though. They come in white and brown too.

Hey, come to think of it, I did a search on Ebay and

There are more auctions for these types of beads as well.

I would contact Eman Zaki and see if she would sell you a bag of them. You and she can agree upon the price and the amount. You may even see if she can purchase a bag for you and you would just pay her for her time. This could get expensive though as you would have to pay her via a wire transfer and your bank will charge you a fee, plus you would have to pay for overseas shipping. Another idea is to ask her if she knows of a vendor in Egypt, and if she can give you that information, you can contact the vendor directly and deal with them. Other than getting them direct from Egypt, I don't know what else to recommend. I know that Madam Abla (until her recent death) started putting scarabs on her costumes. Hallah Moustafa puts them on her costumes, too. I know they must be found in plentiful all over Egypt since they tend to incorporate them on touristy items.

Ebay has several stores selling Egyptian scarab beads in different colors and sizes Some are glass beads, some are soapstone or malachite.

Thanks for the tips, everyone! Ebay is always my first recourse, but I don't like any of the beads that are listed there right now. I'm only in the market for a small number, so it wouldn't be worth ordering a large lot or contacting Eman.

I like the House of Egypt scarabs, but I just want turquoise beads, not a set of four different colours. I think Horus and Isis is the ticket (Thanks, Kenya!). My only concern there is that shipping is done as a flat percentage of your total order, so it's giving me a shipping total of $0.27 for three scarabs. Something wrong there... I've sent them an inquiry about it, but they haven't gotten back to me. I may just place my order and see what happens. Does anyone know if this is really how they do it?
