Spicing up a basic bra & belt
I recently ordered this bra & belt with the intention of adding some stones to spice it up a bit. Now that I have it, I think it has too much fringe on the bra (because I am petite). Any advice on how I can fix it up without too much work? I haven't moved the hooks yet so I am just holding the belt up in the photo.
Thanks!

I have this set in orange (for sale ) I removed the fringes that were on the top of the breasts and it looks 100% better (at least for me). That would also give you room to add crystals and what not if you like. The fringes are all separately sewn.

Josiane,
Do you have a photo of the bra without the fringe?
Good luck with your sale!!
Thanks!

The good thing about that set is you'll probably find the fringe is just tacked on with long stitches and is easy to remove and shift around. Then you'll have some spare to use for an armband or headgear!

I would remove the outermost row of fringe from the bra, that will help to open the look up and elongate your torso, then you can move in if you feel as if there is still too much fringe.

You can see I also crisscrossed 2 fringes in the middle to keep the cups closer together, not that they were too far, but keep my ladies in a better place :P

I agree, you have a gorgeous little figure, I'm so envious of your perfect waist - I think it looks great on you just like that!

I think the fringe looks good just the way it is. I wouldn't take any of it off. You could add some AB austrian crystals to the sequined section if you want to fancy it up a bit.

I agree with Kina on removing the outer layer of fringe on the bra. If you're petite, too much fringe and overpower your chest. I'd also probably remove some from the center so there's a narrower center drape. You have a great figure so why hide it under so much fringe??

I think you look fabulous, but maybe the longest pieces of fringe could go to open up your midsection.
Adding stones to the top edge of the bra would draw the eye up there, too. Let us know what you decide to do, I'd love to see an "after" photo!

Thank you so much for all the compliments and advice. I think I am going to remove the longest piece of fringe (the middle one) and move the top V section down to where the middle one came from. That would leave a strip across each bra cup to which I could add stones. Kind of like how the "great loop" has stones in an arch across each cup. I'll probably remove the outtermost fringe as well. I think what I dislike most about the center fringe is that it is broken up instead of ending in a U or a V...it's sort of choppy. Any other ideas....keep them coming!!
Thanks!

If you feel there is too much fringe, I would definitely remove some of the fringe. You can sew or glue some loose stones on it, perhaps around the edges of the bra cups and the straps. You can also purchase some appliques and attached them to the bra and belt.
