Oh I love the picture Aazura! This style looks really cute on you! I like the turquoise against the black background. It creates a nice contrast! Thank you for posting!

Thanks, I really love this costume too! I'd been lusting over it on Dahlal for a long time, then saw it at Rak East -- I just had to buy it!!

i agree with Tamrahenna: you don't need to make a box of your bosom, which the top one will. mind you, i'm totally biased: i don't think the sleeveless turtleneck look is flattering to any figure.
i like it in red, but i would have a very hard time justifying buying it, so it's doubtful i'll get it in any color...

Wow, sleeveness turtlenecks are about the most flattering thing I can wear!
But maybe that's just because my shoulders are the only body part that didn't swell up or head south when I turned 40.

Thanks everyone for your input. I think I am leaning towards Dahlal's model!

don't like the top one at all. i think that top is very unflattering; the scarf seems like an afterthought stuck on to try to hide something, which is bad enough but to make it worse, the end result is a sleeveless turtleneck which i think is the most horrible style ever. apologies to anyone who likes it, but i really can't stand that look.

I have to agree but it could be one of those things that you don't know until you try it on yourself. It seems to me that either of these costumes could look good on the right person but it depends on your body type a lot. The top one might make your chest look small while making your shoulders look big. If that makes sense. The bottom one also depends on how you're proportioned. I think being tall and slim is a must. A long torso is probably a good thing but I have a long torso and sometimes when I wear pants like that it makes my legs look short. Because they flare out so much it kind of breaks up the leg into 2 parts rather than having a nice streamlined look.
Both costumes could look fabulous on but I wouldn't want to order either of them online without having tried them on.

As for the first one, I know I already said I didn't like it (and its only an opinion) but I watched the video. The first comment on youtube about that video is in Portugese and it says "Ela é maravilhosa!!! Mais essa roupa é horrível!!!" Basically meaning 'She's marvelous!!! But her costume is horrible.' I'm not trying to be nasty or anything. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

People made those same comments on the youtube clip where Soraya wears the costume. Always a risk to be different!

Yes, I've seen Randa in the costume from Dahlal's site. I've seen that video of Soraya and someone did comment that the dancing was good, but the costume was bad. I've decided to veto both costumes in favor of two the costumes from Sahar's new collection.
