That's Saida, I think she's a part of the BDSS, isnt she?
She often has these super original costumes! Her dancing is so dramatic, I love it!

Wow! Stunning dancing AND costume. She's Spanish/Argentinian right? She displays so much fire & intensity and has technique to die for ... she is really unique.
Slight thread hijack - who the #$@& is EthnicArtsPromotions? Everytime I seem to watch a YouTube clip I see some negative, sometimes downright nasty comment from them. I think they say the same thing on every single Didem clip

I know, I see him all the time too. He does like Maria Aya from Greece though. Smiles big. I saw a post he made that he like Dondi. I was really surprised to see that as well. My mouth about hit the floor. So there are several nice comments by this person.

Yes, that's a cool costume. There is more discussion of this costume on the nude/fleshtone thread. Jessedan mentioned that her mother makes all her costumes. I love the combination of teal/turquoise with flesh tones.

Yep...I've seen this person, too. I once replied to one of their nasy comments by asking them how they could call themselves "Ethnic Arts PROMOTIONS" when they behave in such an unprofessional manner. Never heard back...hm..go figure!

There is a thread on tribe trying to figure out who the person is. The number listed is a number associated with Soraya (of NJ).
He said a mildly positive comment on one of my youtubes. He's been pretty caustic on others.
....Back to Saida- she oozes dramatic flair and wears her beautiful costumes SO well. I really love the turquoise and fleshtone one.

Saida is an Argentinian of Syrian heritage I believe. Her real last name is an Arab last name.

The Ethnic Arts comment didn't seem as bad as a bunch of youtube stuff!
I'll agree with his/her comment on that I don't care for that rapid leg-lifting karate kick thing either. She's a lovely dancer and all but her style doesn't have enough softness for my taste - it's very hard edged - skilled but it's got that athletic approach to it.

/sigh yes, Saida, she is my teacher's favorite. I emailed her last week as we are attempting to get her out here for a workshop. She must be extremely busy, have not gotten an answer yet. We are probably dreaming hehe

Oh I would love a workshop with her. I was about to post, "Let us know if you ever DO get that set up", as I'd like to try to attend. But then I realized it's the other Amity that's in my same geographical region. Ohio's a bit too far.

Sometime ago i used to like Saida in most of her dancing routines, but since now i`m more into Egyptian style(which is softer) now i kinda see Saida`s dancing as a bit too much for my taste:too frenzied,quick,convulsion-like,and definitely dislike totally that high leg kick I don`t get it

I wondered that too!
Having lots of time on my hands now (as I sold my part in a salon),
I´m browsing Youtube a lot for dance and music videos, and it seems like EthnicArtPromotions are a bored and bellydance interested individual.
Some of the stuff are...well-read here under a Jillina clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oF_YZd7tcv0
About the costume:I think it is creative and beautiful-I hope for stretch lace with sequins and beads coming back in costume fashion!

...but he really likes Randa Kamel- he's commented on hers as well.
*shrug* he obviously has very strong opinions.

Another costume . . .
She definitely gets points for interesting costumes.

(Can she actually dance in that?)
I would soooooooo love a version of "Project Runway" for dance costume design!!!!!
