Ever had a costume that you just couldn't let go?
I just spent the last hour and a half typing out a swap meet post to sell my turquoise costume. I made a detailed account of all the measurements, the purchasing options, took a bunch of photos, etc., then deleted it. I can't do it!! I know this costume is not that flattering on my body type, when it does fit, and I've gained weight and it hasn't fit me in a looooong time! Why can't I let it go? I think it's because turquoise is my latest favorite color. It soothes me and invigorates my senses. This particular costume is a gorgeous shade of turquoise, too. (Pics don't do it justice at all.) Still, it makes no sense. I should let it go to someone who will wear it, make room in my life for something new to enter. But I just couldn't do it. boo hoo. I want to give it a hug. :) So I guess I'm posting to celebrate that I'm keeping it for no good reason.

Wow, I can see why you don't want to sell it. It's beautiful! You look fab in it!
I'm the same way, don't feel bad. I have 3 that I feel that way about.

aww, thanks Mahira. Course, I just recently went through about 200 photos of me in that costume to find the only two good ones... I think I'll just have to wait until I find a new turquoise costume, then I'll probably be fine.

Yep, there are two costumes that I will never sell. My red ring costume from Amira, despite 18 thousand wearings, still looks awesome. The red is so festive and vibrant, and it fits no matter if I am skinny or feeling fat (it's also a great fat day costume).

This blue Pharonics balady dress is just my all-time favorite color, and it's just so damn gorgeous. The colors are to die for. Again, I've gotten about 18 thousand wearings out of it, but it ain't going anywhere anytime soon!

These may be my ONLY two costumes that don't end up getting sold. :)

Lucy, I don't blame you one bit! Comfy + beautiful + totally useful = never goin' anywhere! I love the color of your dress, such a rare costume color! And, do we get to see more of you in the red, or are ya just gonna tease us? :)

Weirdly, for as many times as I've danced in it, I only have two pictures! This is the other one. :)
