Belly Dance Stuffed Animals, bears, etc...
Does anyone know where I can purchase teddy bears or other stuffed animals or stuffed dolls that are dressed up like belly dancers? I saw belly bears on the super star web site, but they weren't that great. Thanks!

Check out
www.bellawishes.com
They used to sell the belly dancing hippo that goes with the book Bella Wishes. Build-A-Bear has a belly dance costume (I think it is Jasmine from Aladdin). You can put it on any of their animals!
OK, so how obvious is it I have two belly babies !?! (ages 8 & 3)

Does anyone know if the Bella wishes book and cd would be appropriate for a 3 year old or is it geared toward a little bit older?

Dahlal has some really cool Bedouin dolls on her site. And, yeah, Bratz has a "genie" belly dance collection. I have a couple of them. I love them! :) I'm such a kid. :)

I was just at the mall with a friend yesterday, and we went into Build a Bear because I wanted to see, just for fun, if they had a belly dancing outfit for the stuffed animals. We found the Princess Jasmine costume. Also, you can buy a sound box for your animal, and one of the options is that you can record your own 10 seconds of sound. My friend and I were saying how cute it would be to pick a bear, pick the Jasmine costume, and then record a clip of a belly dancing song or zill playing. Of course, by the time you got done with all that, you'd have a pretty expensive toy.

even better....a big zagreet! ha....what would be better than a zagreeting bear?
An American in Saudi used to make camels and dressed them up...one of my friends bought me one for Christmas except dressed as a belly dancer....seemingly when my friend placed the order the lady was because she couldn't figure out what to make the camel wear....eventually I got my camel with a skirt on it and a see through naquib across its face. Very nice.

I have at least one 3 year old niece that knows the whole Bella Wishes song and dance (I have two 3 year old nieces and they both have the book+CD, so they both might know it).

LOL - I like that, but that would certainly attract some attention in the mall.
