Folkloric costumes

I am looking for a nice Saidi or Beledi Dress, something rather tight fitting with a hip scarp. Any advices where I could find something? I have checked Dahlal, Bellydancestore...

I got mine ( http://www.olafheeg.de/SHARI/galerie.../folklore1.jpg ) sewn by www.aen-kostueme.de
but as this is german handcraft it's quite expensive compared to the egyptian costumes.

Hey, just found she took pics of my melaya dress before I fetched it!

i have had great luck finding something on ebay at a very reasonable price, then taking it to be tailored to fit.
depending on if you want "real" folkloric cotton with embroidery, or "stage" folkloric with shimmer and shine, you can look up
bedouin, caftan, thobe, assuit, abaya etc. and find something that way.

also, if you can find a fabric you like, bring a picture to a tailor and have it made. hip scarves are always so easy to come by. maybe buy one you like and have a dress made to coordinate in a fabric of your choice?

even buy two of the hip scarf you like, one for the hip scarf and one to make head piece and dress decorations. you will have a totally custom look for a reasonable price.

good luck and happy dancing.
