i read an article that say even coffee and dieuretic drinks are better than not drinking. even though it is dieuretic, if you prefer to drink that, you will drink more fluids and therefore will get more water than if you don't drink water. if you don't drink anything because that other stuff has a dieuretic effect, you get less h2o in your body...does that make sense? the article i read had ratios and number statistics which i don't know but it was interesting. i do like water so that's not an issue for me.

Jawahir -
Your posts on this topic have been very inspirational to me (sorta along my thinking - but I need a kick in the pants sometimes to remember to stay healthy, read the labels.) I actually lost a bit of weight recently through eating healthier and I ended up selling that wonderful green costume you sold me because it became too big for me. Maybe the costume is like a magic weight loss charm. :-)
On this topic of losing inches at the waist, I have to say that I had great effects from pilates, even just doing a 10 minute abs-focused pilates workout every day had a huge effect on how my waist looked. I don't think anyone really mentioned pilates yet? Yoga is great too. With yoga and pilates, I don't need to go lift a bunch of heavy weights anymore (as far as I can tell, I haven't lost any strength since when I did).
