what colour veil with a leopard dress?
What colour veil would you use wearing a leopard costume or dress? And would you have different colours if it were for a photoshoot or a gig? B

depnds onthe effect youwant, if you want contrast, red or turquoise are good choices. if you want more subtlety, then gold or black works.
I'm doing the reverse, a leopard print veil with a chocolate brown costume :-)

Thanks ladies for all your ideas!
Besides needing ideas for when combining for a gig I'll have a photoshoot soon and the best pics will appear in a magazine.
BTW Jess this is my leopard dress, I believe it's more golden
And I really love your veils but I live in Holland which makes it quite expansive for me to buy one of your beauties :-(

Oh that's só sweet!! But I really don't have fab abs my belly isn't even flat when I wake up in the morning and as soon as I eat my belly looks like I'm at least 3 months pregnant The pic is just flattering as I was doing a breast move so my torso was stretched.
Is it only $4-$5 to ship to the Netherlands? Wow I didn't know that! In that case: I'll be eagerly waiting till you have new veils up
I've been interviewed and will do the photoshoot for a Dutch women magazine (ages 20-35). Their interviewing different women about their passion for their dance. It will feature ballroomdancing, street dance and me with bellydance.

Gold with that costume, or possibly brown if you wanted to reverse it. Personally I would go for a buff shade that was close to the pale colour of the leopard spot, but it might be hard to find.

IMO, the costume color seems so neutral that you could use almost any veil you want!
For performance, I'd let the mood of the piece be my guide. For a dynamic feeling, I'd use red, fuschia, turquoise, green, or a fabulous Akai blend. If the mood of the piece was more sweeping/elegant, I'd go with a nude fleshtone veil, or a bronze. If the music was more lighthearted, I might go with a yellow (thinking of a gold to sunshine to butter yellow blend I recently sold on swap meet)
For the photoshoot...hmmmm. I'd say go with whatever color sets off your skin/eyes to their best effect. What colors do you feel flatter you? Because in the photos, I'd want the viewer to be thinking 'what a pretty girl' rather than 'what a pretty veil.'

As everyone's said, leopard is surprisingly versatile. The last time I wore leopard, I used a rich purple veil and put purple and yellow flowers in my hair.

The photoshoot was tonight and I really want to thank you all for your input, however I decided not to wear my leopard dress but chose my pink costume. Here are the best 3 pics:

nice pictures! could you drop me a hint about the name of the magazine? I want to read the interview as soon as it's in the stores!
For veil, I'd say pink or fuchsia with leopard dress.

It depends what you want out of the photoshoot. If you want your face etc. to be the focus, use a veil that blends with the dress (i.e. golds, browns etc.). If you want to look more theatrical - go for bright turquoise. With your colouring, I think it would look great - however, it would draw some attention away from dress & face.
