Ordering from Dahlal :-)

Hi Everyone:

A few months ago I took the plunge and ordered my very first custom ordered costume from Dahlal.

The order was place in April and two days ago I received a call that it was in.

Today I tried it on and I almost cried! It fit like a glove! This costume was MADE FOR ME AND ONLY ME! I can't gain any weight or lose any weight because the costume was made for my specific measurements and not for anyone else!

My body is shaped a little odd, I'm an apple, no waistline and small hips. This costume made me look heavenly, like my body was the perfect hour glass shape! I don't need to do a thing to it, except perhaps add a little elastic to the waistline to keep the heavy skirt from slipping down.

Nothing has ever fit me more perfectly than this costume! Even the length is perfect! The matching choker is perfect, the headband is perfect and the sleeves fit my arms perfectly!

This first time order has filled me with such confidence to order from Dahlal again. I have two more costumes coming and I can't wait for them to arrive!

I'm jealous but in a way I'm happy (of course I'm happy for you but I'm also getting hopeful for my own order). If you ordered something in April and just got it, there is a remote chance that my march custom order will arrive soon.

Compared to the estimate on the deposit, how close was your order to the delivery date? Like for me, I'm three weeks late now so I'm probably just being silly in worrying about it.

Nepenthe:

I ordered two costumes at the same time and only one arrived. I paid for them in full when I ordered them.

The last costume I ordered in late May. I paid a down payment on it when I ordered it, but a month later, the visa bill arrived and I realized I hadn't paid for the whole thing, so I called and had the rep charge the rest to pay for it in full. Does that help?

So now, I'm waiting for two costumes to arrive, but I don't think the one I ordered in May will arrive before September.

I have a couple orders I am waiting on too. Apparently there was some sort of shipping delays during festivals, but I've been told the schedule should be resuming for new costumes to arrive.

Patience, my dearies! I haven't put the elastic in it yet. I did find one strap is a 1/4" longer than the other, so I'll have to shorten it.
