Body stocking/belt slippage question

I just ordered a body stocking from Sugar Petals. I ordered the stretch net, not the power net because I want the sheer look. My question to anyone who wears this type of body stocking - will it be slippery? Can I pin my skirt/belt to it without causing damage? I've done that with the power net type of stocking, but not sure if the stretch net is strong enough for that.

I always have trouble securing heavy belts to my hips, they love to slide down! I have been sewing that rubbery kitchen drawer lining inside my belts and that helps a lot. What do other people do?

Have you tried putting big heavy snaps on the belt and skirt so that you snap the two of them together?

Then would she also sew snaps onto the body stocking?

I hadn't thought of that, maybe it would work.

Depends on how sturdy the material is, I'm not familiar with the stretch net either.

I wonder if you could pin the skirt *through* the net to some sturdy undies, then pin the belt to the skirt? Sounds like a lot, but I can relate to your problem and it might be worth it.

pins can snag. TOUPE TAPE. I've found Topstick to work best...at any local beauty supply or wig shop. Sticks great, peels right off.

I love topstick for keeping my accessories in place, shoulder straps, etc. and I've used it to keep a lycra skirt from slipping, with mixed results (seems like it depends on how heavy the skirt it).

i have only worn the power net, but here is a little trick i learned from hallah moustafa:

the layering goes like this: panties, body stocking, skirt, belt
pin the belt to the skirt, the skirt through the body stocking to the panties

That sounds like it would work great and be secure. Thanks!
