How to handle a disappearing seller?

As you may know, I have a student show coming up in less than two weeks. (gee, really, Lauren? You hardly ever talk about it!)

I've ordered satin skirts & tie tops for my intermediate class from a vendor in India. I've bought from this vendor once before, so has one of my students, both via e-bay, no complaints.

I ordered over a week ago, through their Vendio store because they didn't have the items I wanted on e-bay. I paid via Paypal.

I immediately e-mailed the seller to ask them when I could expect delivery. I got no response. I've e-mailed again a few times with the same question. Absolute silence. Other than an automatically generated receipt, I've heard nothing. No info on their site or the receipt about delivery times.

Gettin' nervous. What would you do?

How long did it take for delivery the last time you ordered?? Just thinking it could be a language barrier issue and they aren't able to read/respond to your emails. If you've ordered successfully before then this order *may* be ok, you just have to be patient and wait for it to arrive. Kinda hard when on a deadline, I know...

I can't remember how long it took, but I thought only about a week. My student thought hers only took that long, too.

I've sent them a message through their e-bay store, even though I didn't buy it on e-bay, just in case the other e-mail addie is no good.

I guess if I don't hear something by class on Monday, we'll start working on a backup plan and I'll start trying to get my money back via Paypal.

Just wondering if this is Mode Mystique you are talking about? Because if so, their bulk orders take, oh, I'd say three months to come in....

And Kajal will not answer your emails until he can tell you it's shipped. I bulk order from them all the time, and the bigger my shipment, the longer it takes. It drives me insane.

Nope, not ModeMystique. I've usually gotten good service from Kajal.

I wish I'd ordered sooner. *wrings hands*
