dani, those tights are to die for! The shop is not working right now, which is probably a good thing.

RE: Elastic

My brand new Eman has a section of the chest band that is elasticised. After altering it to fit me, it amounts to maybe 1 inch of stretchy section. It's covered with coordinating lycra and I have to say it makes the costume soooooo comfortable. Just having that extra "give" when I do a big hip circle makes a difference. So, If you're willing to check up on your costume regularly (which you should check everything out anyways prior to a performance), I don't see anything wrong with using elastic. At least around the chest part...not so sure you need elasticised shoulder straps.

I don't think wear and tear is going to be much of a problem for me, I have only performed three times so far, and although I would like to start performing regularly it will likely still be only once a month or so.
I already have several costumes, (more than I could possibly wear at the moment ) so relying on one in particular is not an issue.
I think also I breathe deeper when I perform, so what feels comfortable when trying on is not necessarily comfortable to perform in. I like the idea of having a small stretch panel on the chest band. I'm sure I read in one of the other threads that Sahar's have an elasticated chest band.
I agree with you on the shoulder straps, I don't need stretch there.
