I have just looked on the Dahlal website for the very first time. All of the costumes are soooo lovely. I'll have them all please....oh ok, maybe just one for now. Is that the main website where most people buy costumes from for their performances? I am now starting to save some money for a Dahlal costume.

Here in the UK, it's probably just as likely to be Kay Taylor of Farida who supplies fabulously gorgeous costumes.

Kay and the Farida Crew will be at the Congress in September (also at Fantasia in December). Also Mme Eman Zaki, designer to the Stars, will be in attendance with her, at Congress.

Yes they are and I've bought from them . the wait is long but hopefully worth it. If you are in the money for Eman etc why not go closer to home and look at www.faridadance.com. And if you are not after a bedlah or dress there's some great stuff especially the Sharifwear om www.aladdinscave.com. Whirlingdervish and Forbiddenfruitsbazaar in the Uk also do good costumes.

i like www.bellydancestore.com, she's got great costumes for a little less than dahlal, many one of a kind, has alot of zaki's (hoda and eman), hekmets, some abla, just started carrying (and selling out of) sahar okasha and pharonics, and should see bella soon...she'll ship all over the world and a wonderful lady...all my good pro costumes come from her(with the exception of a cutie from latriamou, wink)

And I have forgotten to mention Mandy Teasdale's Shimmyshop. Most of her costumes are originals and I hope she doesn't mind saying her website doesn't reflect how beautifully designed and made they are.
I have a gorgeous black and diamante 2 piece and a "Fifi" dress and they work out cheaper than getting the Emans and Bellas of this world and you will have a costume no one else does as she never replicates. I have a photo of the 2 piece on my gallery with a silver veil.

She makes each piece to your measurements and has large selection of the staples like skirts, tops, vests, pants, gauntlets, headbands and dresses. These are exceptionally well made, washable, and you can decorate them yourself or leave them plain and wear with fancy bra and belt sets.
