New Sparkly Stuff You Wanna Show Off
so, I suck at thread titles! And I'm derivative, sue me 
But I didn't want to hijack Star's thread, and I wanted to show off my costumes. I was going to wait until I got pictures of me in them that I liked, then I sobered up and realized that wasn't going to happen, so here they are, in all their glory,
Black and Pink Bella
Cut out on one side
Laying on black and pink veil from Sedonia Sipes
Brown/Gold/Irridescent Bella, this was the least expensive of the 3 I got, which makes no sense, since it's the most elaborate, but who am I to complain? Since the cut out on the skirt is more like a target on me, I have to get some brown velvet and cover it, will replace the stones in the same configuration as it ties into the bra, nude veil by A'Kai silks
Red/silver/irridescent Bella, white silk veil from Rania
I didn't measure myself properly for these. When they came, the bra's could each fit on my head. I dunno what I was thinking, prolly that it was unlikely that I would get a response from Bella.
After realizing that they were too big, i took them to Shadia Tohme (shadiabead@aol.com) a talented costume designer in her own right, as well as a wonderful teacher and dancer, who altered them to fit me. She had to re-work some of the designs and remove about 2-3 inches from the cups, re-configure the bra straps into a a racerback configuration that is any number of times more comfortable than a halter top AND easy to get in and out of. They now fit beautifully and I'm thrilled.

Those are both absolutely gorgeous!
I'll be posting pictures of the folkloric-style baladi dress I got at at the IBDC later this week. Just gotta do a few alterations on the bra.

I had that problem, too. It took me something like 12 tries to get my main pic to fit in there!
Bhuz should embrace the fact that people want poster-sized images of costumes!

I just got my new black Great Loop today that I ordered from Dahlal. I was so excited I went upstairs immediately to put it on. Here it is with my new turquoise assuit set.
I was so afraid it would come too small, but I actually have to move the hooks in and make it smaller. I'm so happy with it.

Thank you. It is the Assuit set from Sharifwear. I think she calls it Gypsy Assuit set, or something like that.
