People might not be clicking or responding much because of how vague your post titles are. You may want to phrase them so that people know what they are about. Even "Help me find shoe thread" will increase the number of folks who read and respond to this.

Try the search function- I bet if you just put in "shoes", it'll come up with plenty of options.
