What to do with the old straight-leg unitards

Has anyone had a successful rehab project with these?

'm thinking of just cutting off the legs and wearing them as bodysuits with yoga pants, but I'd love to see some other ideas.

Oooh, we should have a contest!

Ooh - I love remodeling projects!

Let's see... you could....

1) cut the top half and make it a cropped top (underbust with wide elastic) or ...

2) cut it just above the crotch and make it into a long body-conforming dance top. And...

3) If you cut it into a cropped top, you could then cut the legs to shorts length and put in a hip-level wide waist band, make yoga/exercise shorts and ride out the hip hugger trend for however much longer it lasts.

4) Cut the legs off and make some slouchy Tribal style arm sleevey things.

5) If it has sleeves, Cut it at about waist level, cut some pieces from the legs to sew on as ties, and make a tie top to wear over another tank...

That's all I can think of for now!

Insert a triangular godet of stretch mesh or stretch lace on the outside of the leg. Glue some rhinestones or sequins to the mesh or lace. Now you will have disco diva belly dance teacher unitards!

Or you can pack them away until wide leg pants go out of style again.

That sounds like a great idea.

Or, you could shorten the legs into a cropped style and just add a hipscarf.

I just hack the legs off and recycle them as arm-warmers, and end up with boy-short legged unitards. That's if the whole thing isn't faded/ripped/unuseable...
