Jazz shoes?

Okay, the dance sneakers thread reminded me that I need to find some good shoes for an upcoming workshop, but dance sneakers don't let you pivot, and ballet slippers are just too damn ugly.

Has anyone ever owned a pair of these:

They're in my price range and look good; I'm wondering if you can pivot in them without messing up your knees, though.

Well, that's wacky. They're called Adult Jazz Booties.

I have some slip-on jazz boots and I ADORE them. Little tiny bit of heel, very good sole for turns. Mine have a split sole, which I like, and ventilated arch. I'm wearing out my second pair now!

They look like the same ones one of my older ladies wear. She swears by them since she can put the arch support stuff she needs in them.
