Yasser's Costumes-Anyon have pics?
So I am obsessed with Yasser's costumes. They just fit perfect everytime.
So I need a new idea for inspiration for a costume-does any have any pics of their Yassers that they are willing to share?

My blue Yasser
This is my favorite of all my costumes because its flattering and comfortable. I LOVE this costume because it has an elastic waste band and its very forgiving.

OMG! I love the assymetric bra cups, and the lattice cut outs and (takes deep breath) THE LEOPARD DRESS.
Must lose weight, must lose weight, must lose weight........why did we go to the gourmet store today and but my favorite goodies???? Must eat fast, must gorge, so I can lose weight....

OMG, I just realized that the pics in my photogallery show Yasser´s costumes only! There are three of them in the gallery, one turqoise, one white samia gamal, and one red one. The white galabaya I made myself as a last minute "OMG what am i going to wear tonight". I definetly need to put more pics in.

I love this one I got from Yasser's. I bought two others from him while I was there but haven't worn them yet...a lucious tiger print and a burgandy. Beautiful costumes!

If I'm not mistaken, Yasser is not the designer. He owns the shop and sells there a lot of costumes form other costume makers - and as you can see many of them have had inspiration of other well known designers like Eman Zaki, Amira Kattan, Nousa... I haven't seen any really original costume maker there, but I haven't see a lot. I might be mistaken.
Any way it's good and not too expensive place. I would only avoid actual copies from actual costumes originally made by some one else - in ethical reasons. I would do this in any place, not only his.

Yasser buys from people who work on their own instead of for a designer. Sometimes someone who worked for Eman/Amira/Nousa decide to try to work as an individual, using the methods and designs that they learned so that's why most of his costumes look very familiar. They are good quality, he definetly keeps an eye out. I found his prices not that cheap compared to what the designers charge for a custom made costume.

oh, I am sorry for a late reply.
it is a web site about bellydance in Russia not Yasser costumes.
And there is no English version there, I am sorry :(
I don't know, maybe Sadeka can send you Yasser's costumes. She sells them in Moscow and bought my dress there. Maybe you can ask her. She travels to Cairo almost every month... |
