Dahlal's assuit fabric?

Has anyone purchased the new assuit fabric lengths off Dahlal? I am keen to get a length of assuit, and don't have the budget for the beautiful vintage stuff, alas. Dahlal's price is certainly right, but it looks a bit, er, skimpy on the metal work. I know the new assuit generally is not as heavily decorated as the old stuff was, but I'd like to think I was getting something that had a fair bit of metal on it, not some mesh with occasional metallic accents.

Any feedback you can give me?

i don't know about dahlal's assuit, but i have purchased from this guy before
http://stores.ebay.com/e-kenoz
he shipped very promptly and the assuit was very nice. not like the antique-totally-covered-in-metal type, but nice for modern assuit. the good thing is that you see the actual piece in the auction listing so you know if you like that pattern.

hope you find what you are looking for. maybe post pics if you make a costume out of it?

I have bought an assuit dress and several other things from this vendor. Good stuff.

Me, too this is good stuff and stronger than the lovely antique Assuit and much more reasonable. I second the comment about how nice it is to be able to see the actual piece you are buying or bidding on.

He's the best vendor out there for Assuit stuff. :) I've gotten colored assuit, black assuit and just ordered some white from him (to make a dress for my daughter) he's always good to deal with.

It used to be that the only people who had it round here were people who had scored Grandma's shawl, or purchased a length at an antiques fair. Thus, many of the people I know with assuit have *really really nice* assuit, usually in tunic form.

I've been waiting for him the post some more dresses other than the black/silver that is out there right now.

Nisima had a nice turquoise/blue one that she was wearing in Dallas and I decided I'd try his stuff . . . but nothing yet except for the single pieces. I can keep waiting I guess.
