If you get her email and haven't checked it. Here is the link to the new stuff called Stepping Forward. I liked about two maybe three.

I liked a couple of them very much, but I wish the vendors caried more variety, beyond lycra and cutouts.
It does seem like the holes in costumes just keep getting bigger and bigger.

some of them are very pretty, but i totally agree about the cut out portions growing exponentially.
that copper one with the giganto-cut out is gonna need a mighty perky booty or else the audience will see under-booty crease
i'm just jealous. i wish i could wear lycra. those lycra costumes make me look like a chandelier and a sausage had a baby

I was bored stiff with their new costumes! They all look like the same lycra costume with slightly different colors and fringe placement.

Maybe it costs less to make them? Less fabric?

I like the cut-outs down the leg or on the hip, but whats with the ones that have the diagonal cut-out across the lap? Why would you want a cut-out so close to your crotch? Jeez!

Yeah, that's just nasty. There's also a crescent moon cut-out in one of the (I think it's a light green) that is so weird. That being said, I just bought a costume with Tempest-like cut-outs, but I am so lining those with mesh!

I'm getting mighty tired of the cut outs.
I don't mind one or two beautifully done and beautifully placed ones, but the butt crack/crotch ones?
What's with that?
Ugly.

Wow, everyone had the same response I did. I think I've just looked at too many costumes, they're all starting to look alike to me.
For a while, Eman & Sahar were a nice change of pace, but their stuff is boring me now too. I'm gonna be different, new & exciting and wear a bedlah! with....fringe!
and NO cutouts.

LOL! Fringe!
THe 70's 80's costuming will come back in style with all the fringe. Just like regular fashion, things come and go.

dont you gals think that the restaurants love those cutouts with their sexy look, so they can attract more customers. There are some here that love you show as much...yikes! not classy at all, but few that won't like those costumes, because they are considered as family restaurants. I personally like Eman Zaki costumes, they are so one of a kind and elegant with their colors, designs and the way they fit.

Yep, that's the one. Ick. Its a shame, its an otherwise nice costume, if not too cookie-cutter, like others have pointed out.

I only liked 2 and both are red (LOL) - I liked the ladder cutouts on the side of the skirt of the first red one and the second one had a very nice slight v shape to belt that is flattering to my mega-flared hips. But the rest were either boring or yes, the cut-outs have gotten waaaay out of hand here, especially the orange one and the green one, well, one vigorous big hip circle ala Fifi and there wouldn't be anything left to the imagination, literally!
(I now have a fresh appreciation for my fringey bra/belt sets that do not shimmy and tell!)

i hope you are right. i might have "timewarp" taste, but i love that look. and i think those costumes hold up better than lycra so you get a lot more wear over time for the money spent.
lycra can be pretty, but it must be done without showing so much you need a nudity permit to perform

The lycra skirts--I've tried to like 'em. I like them in pics, but they are hard to dance in and they suck for tipping.

I agree! AND they make my hips look narrow and my waist look thick. OK, my hips ARE narrow and my waist IS thick, but they don't help.
Belts help. And I don't feel like I need suspenders.

Yup, more and more bum lookers in every issue and crotch lookers. What's next??
I'm surprised no one mentioned the bird motifs?? Yuck
However, I did enjoy the Oriental Originals. Having just bought a whole bunch of crystals I was reminded how expensive they are and can appreciate that they use so many and so many big ones
I always thought Oriental Originals was Sim, but those designs are not in the Sim's website.

I don't want anymore lycra costumes. You've seen one, you've seen 'em all. They've become Uni-style. The only thing that varies is the embroidery and color. I'm also not fond of shimmying legs poking though tight lycra skirts. I much prefer the old fashioned chiffon circle skirts and fringe or coin costumes. I hope they make a come back.
Regards
Priscilla

Does this thread mean I no longer have to be embarassed by my fringy gold bedlah and black/gold poufy chiffon skirt combo? It's so old skool, but one of my favorites for BellyGrams, as it truly screams BELLY DANCER to the GP. It's been a while since I even considered wearing it to a BD event, though.

I know what you mean. How can you expect someone to notice the boob cut outs when there is such a large crotch cut out?? Jeez.

Those are a little easier to see in the actual newsletter:

That big booty cut-out on the coppery one might be gold, not mesh. Otherwise there aren't enough Spanx in the world..........

Ventilation?
I think these are like the "Desert Jewels" line they had at the Rakassah. Oh, duh, they all have jewel names; just noticed. The prices are pretty good, I thought. I'm mighty tempted by the "Crystal Copper" one. Luv that disco ball fabric. Does that count as lycra? Think the blinding flashiness would distract the eye from cellulite?
