We hadn't had a UBDC thread in a while (that's Ugly Belly Dance Costumes if you're new here) so I thought it might be forbidden. I feel sorry for the poor explodiing crotch costume, but I ain't wearin' it!
Can we PLEASE talk honestly about this one? It's an Eman, but hey, everyone's entitled to a heinous mistake. I can't believe no one's said anything, even though it was in Dahlal's newsletter and everything.

Yellow and black and can be interesting but it's a hard color combo.
And this bird motif? why? WTF? I think Eman needs to take a deep breath. Or rein in anyone who might have come on board to help her be more "creative" (not saying that's so but this is so odd).
It's hideous. But, what is Dahlal thinking putting it on their site?

I just got the Dahlal catalog yeasterday, and was not thrilled with the Eman feather decked costumes featured. A couple of them look more like showgirl costumes than BD ones.

Eman's obsession with bird and cat parts is a little strange. I could live with the outfit itself ( including the sweeping nude mesh) but the random feathers? It looks like she sat on a bird by accident and didn't realise it.

It needs some TLC at the moment - I lost a loop of beads the last time I wore it, so now I'm on the hunt to replace them and restring all the loops so I don't lose any more...grrr! |

No, they're jet black faceted, and there are some silver, yellow, and clear ones too.

Good Lord! I just opened up my dahlal newsletter, which has been sitting on my desk, that eman, the one with the fungal growth, has a BIRD a HUGE bird as one bra cup that looks like the bird flew into her breast and splattered there.
It's horrid, can't take my eyes away quality to it.
