help - sneezing!

hey

i have a gig in three hours and have a slight cold. that in itself isnt so problematic, the set isnt too tiring, no more than 15 minutes, and i'll just make sure i blow my nose just before going on..

if it wasnt for: i cant seem to stop sneezing... it goes on for 10 minutes, and than nothing for hours, and then a new sneeze-attack. what if this happens just before i go on!

I think cold/allergy medicines with an anti-histamine will help stop sneezing? Just be careful to get a non-drowsy kind because some of those will knock you out!!!

(I try to avoid medicines when I can, but I do make exceptions before gigs if I have to.... if you had more time, I would say take nettles (herbal antihistamine) and rinse your sinuses with a netti pot. But herbal remedies tend to not work that fast...)

what about sudafed (tube dryer upper), or eat a peppercorn before you go on.

Or you could always do that Dina pose, you know, hand to the nose, thereby looking post-modern egyptian ironic, and disguising the sneezing

well, (including some sniffing) i survived. awfull gig though. horrible organiser who treated us like shit and specifically the celbreties like half-deities. told the dancer who booked me to charge like double for this high profile company gigs or they threat you like awfull 'hey where are the dancing girls' hated it; dreadfull people; these are the type gigs you only do cause you get paid. well, and i made some of the audience enjoy themselves. got throug without sneezing! so one positive point
