6-7 weeks... or a lot more? sorry, in my experience there is no saying, sometimes they are SUPER fast, sometimes not. depends. did you tell them you need it for a specific show, then they usually get it done on time. wait 6 weeks, and email them then...

i talked to bella via email last week.s he told me she is SWAMPED with custom orders right now. her issue is that some dancers ask for something, she makes it, but they dont want it or end up not being able to get the funds together. she asked me about 3 times to make sure before she added it to her growing cue of orders.

Maybe she should make a habit of confirming with the dancer that they definitely want/can afford the costume before she makes it.
From my own experience and what I have read here it sounds like she isn't all that fantastic when it comes to communication.
I'm surprised that she doesn't take a deposit upfront, to cover the cost of materials etc. Just my 2€, but that's what I'd do to make sure someone was serious.

She actually did confirm with me via email that I really wanted it, which was contradictary to what I had seen here too. If she is swamped, then I just wont anticipate anything. I am giddy and I want it! But I'll be patient!

i like that she has started confirming. i wonder if the ones that are on her site recently were custom orders that fell through. she probably doesnt have any problems selling them afterwards..

My last parcel came through the post office in a regular brown box and not through DHL. It threw me off as I was expecting the dhl truck to show up like last time. Though the plain box was no easier to open than that yellow one.

I ordered one early July and received it mid-September. I think it took about a week after I wired her funds. So about 9 weeks for me; better than what Dahlal promises. One of my friends ordered three costumes from Dahlal in January and is STILL waiting.

I actually had good luck with Bella. I didn't here from her after I confirmed that I wanted her to make the costume either, but I emailed her when it arrived and she actually wrote back and wished me luck and many kisses to my new baby :). And the costume is, of course, decadent.

I am glad I am not the only one doing the impatient dance here! I was super surprised to hear from Bella this soon... its only been 6 weeks since I ordered. Definitely better than Dahlal. As I mentioned in another post, Dahlal is great if you must use a credit card, but if not, you are better off ordering straight from the designer. Cheaper, shorter wait time. MUCH shorter wait time.

Well you all are lucky cuz i sent an email last november and Nothing!!! so i gotta find other ways! I LOVE BELLA costumes! dont know what it is but they just appeal to me so much!

OMG ITS HERE!!!!

It is the most beautiful costume I have ever seen in my life!!! I sooo understand now why the boxes are so difficult to open. I am SHAKING! Hard to open anything while shaking!

and... Its perfect!! I cannot believe this. Measurements are perfect, the packaging was amazing.. so careful. She included 2 different types of skirts, 2 veils... an extra strap that I have no idea what's it for....

Its gorgeous! I'll try to take pictures tonight!! omgomgomg!

I hope to get better pictures with both different skirts! Both skirts are so gorgeous, one with double layered chiffon and ribbons of what can only look like leaves... the other is a brown velvet trumpet skirts... how am I ever going to make this costume look as good as it is!!
