Quick - how to make beaded bra dangle?

I've got a show tonight and I want to quickly add a center beaded bra dangle that matches the fringe I've already made for my belt. Rather than attach it straight across the piece of fabric that connects the two cups, I want to make a loop that kind of dangles in the center and sew the beads on to that. I've seen this design a lot but am not exactly sure how it works - what exactly do the beads attach to? is it just thread, or is it a small loop of fabric? Has anyone done this before?

Hi Dee!

Egyptian fringe is attached to some kind of heavy duty cord, but I've never seen anything like it in the States. Generally, when the fringe is dangling from a little loop, it's just been sewn by the ends, and the cord and the fringe dangles down, forming the loop. You can bead onto a ribbon or a cord and then maybe add beads or sequins onto that to disguise the cord/ribbon. Then when you are ready to attach it to the bra, just sew the ends onto the bra, and the rest will take care of itself.

I've got a bra that has a loop of fringe hanging down in the center. The fringe is the Egyptian style with a heavy string across the top with individual strands of fringe knotted onto it. All the costume maker did was tack the ends of the heavy string to where they go on the bottom edge of the bra (inside the lining so it looks smooth). The costume is all sparkly bright silver and the string is white, so it doesn't look odd.

Hope that made sense, it's 5pm on Friday and I'm not feeling especially coherent...
