Progress Report On Eman Bird Costume--found A Cat!
So, after reading suggestions in the infamous thread, I have at least one idea cooking...... if this costume comes in time, I'll stuff my not-so-willing boyfriend in it and we'll try out "The Cat that Followed the Canary" out on a family gathering....but also working on "Canary Lake" .... (anyone remember Trocadero? Swan Lake? It was so well done......totally professional, then these subtle little bits...it was hysterical, I love them....) The music? "Tales of Hoffmann...." Obviously, this is not for BD audience!!!! So don't burn me at the stake yet.....I'm working on something "more appropriate" for OUR venue..... HERE's "THE CAT":

Yay!
Hey, Tanya, Leyla Lanty has a great song she got in Egypt about a pussycat. El Asab danced on it a couple of years ago.

Oh, do you know what the name is? Is it on her new CD? I'll try to get in touch with her. THANKS, Amy!!

Can I suggest caution about dancing to a song about a pussycat. For those of you familiar with british TV, it did Mrs Mrs Slocombe no good at all.

British TV: My all-time favorite is the series "Vicar of Dibley"...... I have a set of DVD's. LOVE this series -- wish it were still ongoing....... Is Mrs. Slocombe from the one that takes place in a department store? I can't remember the name of it, but I've seen a lot of the episodes.....what happened with Mrs. Slocombe?

About YouTube -- ha! I have just attempted to install my new scanner so I can get some pix in my gallery--I followed all the instructions, and when I scan a photo there is no color & it's all in fragments. Ugh, I'm such a dinosaur. So getting a clip on YouTube--definitely beyond my comprehension right now.....maybe some sleep, then try again.....Do you just take a video clip from a digital camera and browse it into YouTube?

I quite like this costume except for the hanging piece at the front. Looks like she got up from the table and forgot to remove her napkin from her lap.
