They usually mean 3-5 *business* days (no weekends), so if it shipped Tuesday that means you could get it as late as today.....
Also, if the seller shipped it late in the day on Tuesday, the package wouldn't have shipped until the following day. Once, I recieved half of a costume in 2 days, and the other half (that was shipped at the exact same time, but in a different box), in 10 days!
I hope it works out for you, though!!!!! I know it can be stressful spending a lot of money with someone who's not a 'real store' :-O

However is the USPS tracking number reports that the packages isn't on it's way, and the seller hasn't responded, I would do two things:
1) contact the seller another way, through e-mail or by responding on an original thread post. It may be they thought it was taken care of and don't realize there is still a problem.
2) start a "dispure resolution" process with paypal. as far as i know, it doesn't hurt anything to open the dispute, it just gets paypal involved in mediating for you. If you're not getting a response on bhuz, perhaps a message from paypal will get the seller's attention.
You just need to send paypal all the info about the transaction, and they will try to contact the seller for you and resolve the issue.
Good luck!

There are so many uncertainties in shipping things, including your local post office. If it's not there after two weeks, I'd consider starting to worry. And, the USPS tracking is kinda strange, the system seems to be updated very slowly.
I'd say, relax, and give the sender a few days. Her husband may just have forgotten to drop off the package he promised to bring to the post office ;-)

Yeah, give it a little time. Your "Bhuz vendor" isn't a small business after all, she's just a person. If you haven't heard back from either her or the post office/UPS in abt 10 days then I'd get a bit more aggressive. I understand though, I love waiting for things I've bought on Bhuz! Or EBay! Or Amazon! Or....

This seems to be the most common reason for delays. My husband has done it to me at least 3 times (I know, you'd think I'd learn, I'm just so lazy about going to the PO and he goes right past it every day) and it's happened to me with other shippers many times.
Because an individual seller isn't a store, life may interfere with the best of plans to get the merchandise to the PO. The fact that it's already showing up in their system as scheduled means she printed a label online, right? So she's already paid for the shipping? I'd take that as a positive sign of intent.
How long ago did she appear to read your message? She may have read your message & be checking on the situation before she responds? Though a seller ought to dash off a quick "Let me check on that & get back to you" as reassurance that she's still there for you.

Wow - I think it's way too early to worry just yet. I can understand the excitement and your frustration on the delay in the anticipated delivery date, but there really is no reason to worry. I wouldn't even start worrying until the 4wk point, and even still - I've received a lot of items that took up to two months, despite "express delivery".
Mind you, I'm in Canada so sometimes things get delayed at customs, but Canada Post and USPS expected delivery dates are often "off".
If you really want an item by a specific date, I'd suggest ordering it well in advance or via UPS or FedEx.
