Looking for fishnet body stocking

Hi everyone,

I am trying to find a fishnet version of the nylon type body stocking that places sell like sugar petals sell. Not a full body to cover my legs, just the middle. The nylon is sooooo hot and I think the fishnet looks so old school, but cannot find them. Or if someone has a way to make them or a resource for fishnet fabric, that would be great.

Thalia, what I've done in the past is to cut the legs off a pair of Danskin fishnet tights.

They're superbly elastic and durable, and have a nice long torso -- I've 5'9 and didn't think they'd reach up to attach to my bra without giving me an atomic wedgie, but they reach quite easily!

yup, just make sure you get the seamless ones.

You can get white ones and dye them any color, too. Nylon is dyeable, while polyester is not.

You can find the fishnet in black, too, in a few places that carry fishnet at all.

Agreed, but since we've had a few recent threads on toxic chemicals, I'd like caution anyone who decides to dye something to handle the dye with caution, wear rubber gloves, and to rinse the finished garment THOROUGHLY to get rid of any loose dye substance. Dyes, especially some of the kinds we use at home, can be really toxic.

Also, depending on the brand of dye used, it could come off of the body stocking when you're wearing it and be absorbed into the skin, especially if you get hot and sweaty. So, I'd urge folks with colored body stockings to minimize how long you allow them to stay in contact with your skin. I'm realistic enough to know that most people will decide to wear them anyway (and I too wear them anyway), but just bear in mind it's best to wait to put it on until you NEED to, and to take it off as soon as possible after dancing.
