Anyone have costumes from famous dancers?

So I thought I would start a new thread in the costume section. Does anyone have a costume from a famous dancer? In other words, did anyone buy a costume belonging to a famous dancer? I'll start:

I bought the black Eman Zaki mini-skirt costume that Dandesh wore when she performed in Los Angeles for the Little Egypt seminar in April 2005. Eman Zaki specially made it for that one time performance and I bought it from Little Egypt.

I have a bedlah which was Aziza's. Bought it 105th hand from someone on e-bay. . .

There was someone several years ago at Cairo Carnival selling costumes from famous Egyptian dancers. It was kinda cool!

I know that Little Egypt sells costumes worn by Dandesh and Dina's older costumes.

Yep, it's on the home page of my website! Kimarhi put a lot of work into rebeading some of it, and it looks even bettter on it's new owner.

I bought an incredible black & silver Madame Abla from Aziza in January when I was in FL for her Babylon Breeze event with Virginia and Amir Thaleb. I love it and people are always asking me where I got it. It means even more now that Madame Abla has passed away.
I'll have to post pics on my website at some point when I have them!

A friend of mine bought a dress which was supposed to have been worn by Samia Gamal.
There was a shop a few years ago, in London, called the Egypt House, which sold Egyptian stuff (the usual kind of stuff they sell to tourists out there) which had a small costume section downstairs. Most of the costumes were the usual nipple-flower-tastic tourist tat, but there was one dress which was completely different, in a beige sparkly nylon fabric, with masses, masses of bead drops, all down the skirt. It weighed a ton, but it was tiny. The shop staff said it was Samia's and was quite impressed that we even knew who Samia was. Sylvia won't ever be able to wear it, but she felt it needed to be owned by someone who would appreciate it.

Hi -- I have a lovely pink & silver belt made & worn by the dancer in a James Bond movie in the 70's -- does anyone remember her name? She used to dance in Greece, I believe, and made her own costumes. I bought this from Magana years ago when she had a few items for sale by this dancer. Kind of scary when you start forgetting famous dancer names ...... I bought it for historical value, but it's in fabulous shape, would be great to dance in, but has no matching bra.

She is a lovely and well known Brit dancer.
I'm wearing a Madam Abla in my profile bought from Candi Colgrave Bell and I have a Simmyshop gelabeya and bra set also from her and a few years ago I bought an Alexandrian Meleya dress from her but she has since bought it back!!! We could carry on like this a nice costume exchange as I have an eye on another of hers..another nice Madam A she showed us at JOY last year.............

Wow-everyone seems to own costumes by famous dancers! That's cool. Thanks all for sharing. Yes, please let's post some pictures. Unfortunately, I don't have pics of me in Dandesh's black costume. I am getting Leila's black/red costume in the mail soon. Will post pics.

I just bought a costume that was Leila's (of Cairo). It's a custom Eman and a mini. I haven't worn it yet.

Samira: which mini from Leila did you buy? She had a black one that appeared on the home page of her web site. She also had a gold one that appears on her website and on one of the Little Egypt performance videos. She also had a yellow one, but I don't think its Eman. I just bought her black/red Eman Zaki dress that she wore in LA for the February 2006 event. Can you post a pic? Mine is in the mail, but I'll post a pic when I get it next week.
