Do you have a favorite color for costumes?
Having been around this for a while I've seen styles change, colors come and go, so forth. Wondering what your favorite costume color(s) is currently, for yourself or for others?
I have always liked rust/bronze, drawn to most any strong blue or green, expanded out to pink and purple to challenge myself but find myself mostly fall colors.

Red, gold and purple! In fact most things in my closet and my BD wardrobe fit into this scheme. I've noticed that it's hard to find muted colors in BD costumes, probably because they're not as stage-worthy, but it's so hard to find a nice olive green, a fab copper or a pretty aubergine...

My two favorites are red and turquoise. I have 2+ costumes in each of those colors. I feel like I need to start branching out. I'm ordering a custom "1001 Nights" from Audrena (actually she calls it Aida 2005), and I'm tryign to decide which color.
* must look good on me
* should probably not be red or turquoise
* should be a good resale color.

Nice to see others liking/using more gold
I have always been drawn to copper, bronze, gold rather than silver. I had to force myself to get some silver (balance and all) and still like gold. It is warmer, seems richer and more me.

I have several blue costumes, but I can't bear to part with any of them as they are all so flattering on me. Most are dark or royal blue, but I have a turquoise lycra L. Rose set that is gorgeous too. Every time I go looking for costumes, I am always drawn to the blue ones, and I have to remind myself I don't need any more!

Green. I'd be happy with costumes in every shade of green that exists.

I love blues and purples.
The first costume I bought was silver and royal blue, followed by a lavender bra and belt set, and turquoise Pharonics ("Dripping in Diamonds" on Dahlal's site), and a purple and turquoise Madama Abla dress. For a little change, I bought my teal costume (Luxe Sensation 3, I think, on Dahlal's site) and I bought a Green and gold bra and belt from my first teacher, Nadia.
I also had a black and royal blue tribal costume made for me about a year and a half ago. :)
I'm trying to branch out though...I'm really trying to stay away from purples and blues, even though they look really good with my skin tone...

I have 4 green costumes (from dark teal, to bright lime-ish), 3 purple, 2 tourquois, 3 white, 4 coin (what colour are those technically anyway?) 2 pink, one red, one blue, 3 black, one silver, two gold, a blue one which was made by Aziza, ummmm...
I think I am done buying costumes foor a little while. I do want another pink costume alont with a deep emerald green and a wine coloured one. But I also really need to concentrate on getting a variety of skirts and accessories.
And more dance gigs inorder to justify owning these pretty things would help as well!

I've practically been looking at all pink costumes recently... and gold for some reason although I usually gravitate to silver jewelry (not together of course). Other colors I've been loving: bronze, deep blue, purple and green.

Anything except pastels, I like to wear rich jewel colours, teal, deep red, aubergine, green and gold, and at the moment I am obsessed with copper.
I love silver too, but it makes me look a bit washed out unless I am tanned.

I like autumn colors too. Reds, oranges, golds, dark greens and purples.\
I hate pastels and neons.

purple in all shades and I have a preference for gold. I just sold a purple costume, but made myself a black/purple one to fill the gap. I own three purple costumes and have to strain myself to not look at purple costumes anymore!

I ended up ordering in pink/fuschia.
Turns out that emerald green is not available in Egypt right now for the record!!

I've gained a certain list of colors I cannot even consider anymore, Blue and Silver topping the list, although I wear them as accent colors in my daily life with no problems.
Colors I secretly love but know that I can't pull off constume-wise*MOst Oranges and Yellows...burnt orange I can r0ock, but it's not very popular for costumes.
My winning team : burgundy/wine/cranberry deep browns, gold, red, black in moderation, dark green, copper, beige, and even white.
Adverse reactions* Purple. I had a hellish female friend who was obsessed with purple. The idea of wearing purple velvet makes me feel like I7m housesitting her and her oppressive purple rooms.
