This set came with a costume I recently purchased. Sadly, it is too short for me. It's a beautiful shade of lavender, on the pink side as opposed to blue-gray. Brand spanking new and never worn, except to try on once.

I don't think the sequins are too silvery. Depending on how they catch the light, they can look purple or true lavender. I will check it against purple and gold at home this evening and get back to you!

Sedonia, I like purple and gold with the lavender. I think it works because it's a pink lavender, as as opposed to grey-ish, so it's a warmer tone. Do you have a photo of what you're thinking of pairing with it?
