Washing Fabric

Would anyone know if is OK to wash glitter dot fabric?

On the bolt is says to wipe clean with a damp cloth, but sometimes I've washed fabrics that do not recommend washing and they turned out OK.

Has anyone had any experience with this type of fabric?

I've not usually had a problem washing metallic fabrics, except for that slinky metallic stuff with a special finish on one side that will sweat off before it's washed. If I were you, though, I'd test a small piece first. I agree, a lot of manufacturers just want to cover their a$$es when they say don't wash, even when it's pretty safe. If it's for clothing and I can't wash it, I usually don't buy it.

I have washed glitter-dot. Repeatedly. Just treat it delicately, cold water, gentle detergent, low agitation. Or handwash it. Then let it hang dry.

Just don't put it in with anything else! My husband washed one daughters costume and did this. The next day in church I discovered he had little hot pink glitter dots all over his back! Poor guy a wife and 3 daughters!
