custom order an eman?
Hello bhuzzers,
Does anyone know where to custom order an eman - I hesitate to do it again through dahlal, i don't feel like waiting forever,
has anyone had any luck anywhere?
post the details, where when why how
thanks lovely ladies,
or, does anyone have this dress that they are willing to part with?

any jewel tone would be fine, no pastels.

You could contact Kay Taylor here in the UK. Eman comes over and designs at UK festivals through Kay. I ordered my turquoise at the last London Fantasia in Dec and got it in Feb.I don't know if Eman and Hoda are coming over again this year but I can ask.
You can contact kay through her website www.faridadance.com

you can order directly through Eman, but most likely your wait time will be just as long if not longer.
My first custom was amazing. The second custom, however, looked horendous and it took forever to receive. Had to wait over a year for a replacement one. Your best bet is probably to get one that's already made like you mentioned. Gook luck either way!

ha! I have that costume in red and just last night was parading around in my bedroom with it on because I love it so much!
I'm with artemesia - only off the rack for me. my custom order took six months, endless nagging, and came back too small to wear. AND it cost just as much to order direct than it would have to order it during dahlal's sale in january. other people have had better luck, but I seem to hear a negative story for every positive one.

Well no more for me for a different reason, the wardrobe bulges and I love 'em all and I ain't a BDSS and I ain't gonna dance down the local Turksih or ME caf! So if I sell one I buy one, it's that way around from now on.
BUT
I have had 2 Emans through faridadance ..one was perfect, the dress needed adjusting at the top but it was minor. And a Hoda off the peg..perfect
I've had 2 direct from Amira, both absolutely perfect( and 1 now being worn with grace a young dancer) and 2 through Dahlal..one perfect again and the other is my newie and all I've had to do is fiddle with me gusset ( if you'll pardon my French ),
Then again I have got 4 second hand items (from Bhuz) all totally perfect. that is a great way to get 'em.
It's a good job I make performance opportunities as well as going to other peoples
But yes I have sold as well.......8 have left me space for that lot!

In red!
I need to wean myself off of custom ordering. after my last two come in, that's it. I am going to treat it as an addiction, and just buy from vendors direct off the peg and good ole' bhuz and ebay.

Hi, I'm going to Fantasia this year and would love to buy a gorgeous costume. Do they sell off the rack there? Or do I have to have them custom made?

Check with Kay they are there this Dec and yes they have off the peg and there are usually lots of other great bazaars at Fantasia . Look at Mandy's Shimmyshop..all exclusive and beautifully made and Maria D'Silva has some lovely stuff as well. I assume they'll be there.
