NandaDncer and Perizaad, actually, there are two pairs of pants. One is made of stretch material (I mixed bellydance moves with contemporary and modern dance in this number and needed the costume to allow for big movements). The second one is two separate "legs" with drapes at the bottoms.
The drapes are also functional: at first the veils are hidden inside the stretch pants (the drapes help to hide them better) and in the middle of the dance I take the veils out of my costume.
I thought long about all this:)))

PS: I also used sagats (zills) covered by fabric as weights for pois - maybe somebody will find this idea useful

Thank you, Laziza . I performed this dance at the Assembly and also at the Faraonic concert 2007. I hope to have the video soon. I danced at the League of Professionals in May - but a different number - with wings (you can see photos at Svetozar's site) and was planning to take part in the League of professionals contest this autumn too, but I had a meniscus injury in September and could not dance.

Jes & Kat, you should both be proud - you both do beautiful work! Veils are striking and the costume is unusual and gorgeous. The photos are fabulous!
