any recomendations for buying silk veil fans (the kind with the LONG veils)

search for 'tai chi fans' on ebay for these, they are cheaper then the BD silk fans. Other then that, haven't tried it myself. Did Leyla Jouvana use them in the show last week? I noticed the fans when they were on her desk wednesday and wondered wether there would be a worksop in fan dancing.

those are only 1,5 m (the ebay shop).

i saw someone in the competition performing with a three metre one and i would love to have a go at that. The ones from Leyla are also shorter. i am looking for the loooong one, close to the size of a regular veil

leyla is teaching a workshop in fan dancing sometime in 2008 at her studio.

Meleea of Texas also sells silk fans, and has a DVD called "Super Fans" teaching poses, moves, combos for these types of fans.

I'm just on the way placing a order for fan veils, I want some 3m long ones as well. I already have some 1,5m long fan veils and asked the vendor, if she has them also in other sizes and she said she could organize the 3m ones.

Another good resource for silk fans is Originals by Faye faye@faye4u.com

I think that Leyla purchased hers from Faye - I love the ones that Faye sells. She has a lot of color combinations and has great quality control on them.

I have the fans from Faye. its 40.00 for one 75.00 for set of 2. got to email her the colors change every shipment. They are fun to use and look beautiful turning.

Awww...thanks! I have to get one of my more recent fan videos up - that one is not from the best angle to see it all, but is part of my discussion with another dancer that you could use the fanveilzz a lot like double veil ;) There are so many different things you can do with them!
