Out of kindness, someone should do it. If she's listing and relisting over and over on ebay, she's going to be paying significant listing fees even if it never sells. At least she could cut her losses.

I just sent her a message through EBay suggesting that she may be mistakenly overpricing her hip scarf and the costume. The hip scarf has several obviously missing coins and beads and dangling threads, but she is asking $40. It is a very simple stretch velvet scarf that she would be lucky to give away to someone.

Tried to be kind and friendly and suggested that she might get more takers if she dropped the prices. Told her that the costume would probably be around $75-100 as a student costume NEW.

Maybe she'll write back, but probably not.

Wow, it REALLY shows how sheltered she is from the BD community in general if she thinks there's nothing else like this coin belt on eBay. I think she just doesn't know how to search for them...very common design and material, no? I get the impression she's not actually bellydancing anymore. She mentions in both listings that she hasn't worn the stuff in 2 years, so she probably has a genuine excuse for not knowing the market rate for what she's selling.

This is exactly the type of world that Jodette's creates for her students. She is still operating as if there is no Bhuz or internet or larger dance community. If this seller was one of J's students, then I'm not surprised.
