looking for stones

I bought a really neat vintage costume, but it is in need some refurbishing. I've looked all over the net, but where do most dancers buy their stones for costumes? I am looking for very large oval crystal sew on stones. Acrylic or glass. Thanks!

I believe costlesscostumes.com has some nice jewels to sell. I learned about them from Sarah Skinner's "I Love Turkish Bellydance" DVD. Check it out and let me know if that's what you're looking for. Try General Bead (they have a website, I think if you add .com it will come up). Last time I ordered from them they had amazing A/B flat back crystals with holes, various shapes and sizes. Crystal will not scratch and fade like acrylic, they maintain their brilliance. Fire Mountain Gems might have but they mostly specialize in beading beads, not as many flatbacks with holes.

Costless is local for me, so I tried there first. General Bead is in SF, so I could give them a call. Good idea, their extensive website is http://genbead.com/

BTW, the owner of Costless says they aren't making the coin and mirror sets anymore, they are only selling off what they have. They are very expensive, so I've never bought one, but it makes me kinda sad. And there are no more dance pictures up any more.
