ok one more, water retention
Does anyone else have this problem? Some days I look three sizes too large in the tummy area, but then some days the tummy doesn't look too bloated..is this possibly water retention? How do you get rid of it?

Cut back on your salt intake and drink lots of water.

Re: ok one more, water retention
Ditto to the sodium intake. Watch it, read labels! Most prepared foods have far too much salt. I'm young (25) but my family has a history of high blood pressure, so I've learned to read labels and not salt my food excessively. When I do eat a lot of junk/prepared food I definitely notice a bloating effect. Just another reason to eat as much whole, fresh food as possible!
Also, definitely drink more water, especially if you've eaten a lot of salt.
Right now, after the holidays, I have that "bloated" look. I ate sooo bad on New Year's Eve!!! And the worst part is I'm telling myself now that the holidays are over I'll eat better, but the food is still in the house. Perhaps time to throw it out...

Re: ok one more, water retention
I get the WORST water retention too! More water, like the other ladies said, always helps as well as less salt. I actually usually get rid of some of the bloating with a good workout as well. It feels horrible working out, but afterwards, once you've showered and stuff, I feel much better.

It happens to me after I eat sugary treats. You could track your consumption prior to the bloating maybe.

I have the same issue. Usually it is cyclical.
I use Peach Detox tea from yogi teas. Not sure which ingredient does it, but it usually works overnight.

Re: ok one more, water retention
It's getting worse for me, so I sympathize. As I get older, I feel like I am bloated all the damn time.
