Re: NEED advice on creating coin belts, sewing, and the lot!!
This is a great thread. I've made coin pieces, but want to do a whole scaled set next. Thanks for the close ups!

If you're heading to the DC area, there is a large Indian/Pakistani population center in College Park...Sari fabrics anyone?
I can't remember the route the shops are on...maybe Amartia, Samira, or one of the other DC dancers can chime in?
Heh, heh...try chainmaille for addictions too...LOL

I hate to mention this, but there are at least two coin costumes on e-bay right now. . .
As far as learning to sew, more fabric stores have classes and workshops as do many of the Adult schools and City colleges. Usually via their extension programs.

You are slightly evil. I was looking for gold, but I really like the silver. I wonder how hard it would be to make this set smaller?
I only found the one silver Turkish one. Do you have the link to the other?
BTW, wasn't someone looking for "studs" to make a tribal costume? There are some of Kuchi metal disk buttons up for auction.

Hey, I'm a DC metro dancer! But I have no idea where the stores are! I want to know so I can have an excuse to go to DC! (about 20 minutes from there)
Yes, please, other dancers chime in!!
Thanks acmcgraw!
