Simple practice shrug

Have to share this brainstorm I had today. Practicing and my shoulders and arms felt so cold and long-sleeved wrap top did'nt feel warm enough. Put on an old sweatshirt but it was just too heavy feeling to move freely. So I cut it off at midrift level, and then cut off the neckline band and slit it right down the front. Viola! Sweatshirt shrug. Ugly but totally functional.

Re: Simple practice shrug

tights with the crotch and toes cut out work for this too and are not too bad looking. (waist band goes around your rib cage arms in the legs)

I turn all my tee shirts into Flashdance Tee Shirts 'cause I can't stand anything tight around my neck.

Re: Simple practice shrug

I have made fishnet sleeves out of really small fishnet thigh highs. If they are still a little big (slip down) attach a piece of elastic between the two top edges so that it lays across your back. I just ripped holest for fingers, but they can be trimmed with elastic so that the arrangement lasts longer. I always wanted to try this with nude fishnet, i thought it would have an interesting effect. This could probably be done with any kind of thigh high. I bet some nifty gauntlets could be made out of trouser socks, since they are sturdier than pantyhose and come in so many patterns.
