In search of a short chifti

I'm looking for a nice short chiftitelli, 3.30 minutes or less. I'm looking for a nice short piece for sword. Everything I have is very long, over 4 minutes.

Re: In search of a short chifti

Me too. I finally had to cut one down.

For those who've never tried to cut down music, it's pretty simple. Download Audacity (free) and play around with it. The simplest thing is to find where you want the song to end, go about 5 seconds beyond that point and delete everything. Then place your cursor where you want it to end, select everything you left (the 5 seconds or so) past that point and from 'effects' choose 'fade out.' You can use the faded portion to bow or exit.

Re: In search of a short chifti

That's what I may have to do, but I thought maybe I'm missing some great short chifti that's floating around in cyber space.

Re: In search of a short chifti

There are some short ones on the old Eddie Kochak records, but they're usually parts of larger performance routines, so I don't know how they would work for you as standalone pieces.

Joseph Pusey has a fabulous one on his cd. Spice of Life, also a great version of Bir Demet. It's a wonderful cd. Here it is on CDBaby:

Yep, That was the one I was going to suggest : ) and Gretchen - I'm so so sorry I haven't got it to you yet!
There is also the Sensual Chifti on Aziza Raks - I's really Fantasy sounding and only two minutes but maybe it would work!
