Clicking on music files brings up a window...but file wont play. window is blank and just sits there. need plug in?

Anala, I've always had that same problem, too, and could never figure it out...

Since this may be a plugin issue, could the chat also be affected? I can log in just fine but if there is (miraculously) someone else there, they are always mute and disappear if I refresh/re-login... am I scaring them away or is my computer having issues??

It sounds like you need a plug in. Go to RealPlayer and download the latest version for free.
