Bhuz composition editor blocks/ignores "forgot"?
Today I've had to edit 2 posts because the word "f orgot" didn't appear in them. I tried to repost with "f orgot" and again the word did not appear. So, in the composition box I changed phrases like "I f orgot" to "I didn't" and "she f orgot" to "she didn't" and the posts are now correct.
I've just now added the spaces after the "f" so the whole word will appear in this post!
I'm using Firefox 5 on MacOSX Tiger. Weird...

We're all experiencing this, we've had several threads about it. Most of us are using the number zero -- f0rgot -- but your solution works, too.

Glad it's not just me. I thought I was going mad. I like the zero idea, thanks! x

I must have missed the threads about it. I had the same problem, and thought I was losing my mind. Thanks for the solution - in case I need a 'f0rgot'.

Re: Bhuz composition editor blocks/ignores ""?
I'm trying to sort out two websites at the moment. One of them has a strange problem. We are just the one company, but because one of the areas of our work is a bit more "sensitive", we have two websites.
I specialise in tasteful and often sexy-but-with-dignity-and/or-attitude photos of women who we make even more gorgeous than they already are.
Our main website, kinda "here is our all-purpose photographic company, aren't we coooool" doesn't suffer from the problem. But our "here is our website for women who would like a tasteful, sexy picture of themselves in good lighting looking great" website has the "f0rgot"/"f orgot" problem all over the place. But in this case it happens with words like "lingerie", "sexy" and even the "teen pics" part of the words "fifteen pictures.
I can kind of understand it with my website, what with Net Nannies and firewalls etc, but with the word "f orgot" on this website, I just don't geddit, especially since we talk about such outrageous things as fannies and boobs?? But I'm dying to find out the outcome. It's the sad I.T. anorak in me I suppose. Please will soem web-savvy tecky come to my rescue and get me out of suspenders?

She says having vry carefully edited the above for types cos she is on about the fourth unit. Goodnight xxx

Re: Bhuz composition editor blocks/ignores ""?
forget
f0rgot
Just the word f orgot? nothing else? What a mystery!
I cant get this post to show the word f orgot as a word with no space.
forgot. forgot
The usual bug we have is in the wysiwyg editor in the Home side of the site -- esp. messaging. The Forum side uses a different editor, and this is the first bug reported. I will check on it.

Also, in another thread I noticed if you post 'P' no space 'R' . . .it comes out as PR
It was a thread mentioning puerto rico and I thought it was some euphamism or something!!

Re: Bhuz composition editor blocks/ignores ""?
Thanks everyone! It's good to know it's not just me. So we have "f orgot/f0rgot" or "" and "P R" or "Page Ranking". The "" is where I typed the word "f orgot" with no space and "P R" with no space . Are we having fun yet?

Re: Bhuz composition editor blocks/ignores ""?
I thought about you, Kina, when I saw the P R problem!
Are there any other problems with the Forum editor? Any other weird spelling issues, etc??
